Participating – Parting focusses on the spatial and social dimensions of artistic interventionist practices. This can refer to artistic positions with regards to social practices of participation and exclusion. However, it is not only after the event that one begins to feel the effects of artistic interventions on the social and political landscape. Rather, artistic interventions work on (new) divisions beyond the arts themselves: they transform lifestyles and create new social formations as soon as they begin to be carried out.
