The CRC’s reserach projects concentrate on poetic programmes and discourses (poetics) as well as the associated practices of production (poiesis). The potential of interventionist art – which is both actively challenging and which creates new scope for action – is accompanied by a fundamental shift in emphasis in terms of twentieth century and contemporary processes of artistic development. Artistic methods of creation, rather than aesthetic experience, take centre stage.
